A symbol of Milan known throughout the world, the Duomo recounts a memorable piece of Milanese history and entrepreneurship. The Duomo owes part of its fame to the exceptional size and richness of its statuary decoration: more than 3400 statues as well as the half-figures in the window sills, the giants in the gargoyles and the several hundred figures sculpted in the high reliefs.
